Honey Judging Contest
Entry Requirements
-
Quantity: Exactly 1 pint of honey.
-
Packaging: Must be in a plain glass jar with no labels or identifying marks (to ensure unbiased "blind" judging).
-
Donation Policy: All entries are donated to the Expo for public tasting after the winners are announced.
Judging & Awards
-
The Panel: Your honey will be evaluated by 7 different judges.
-
Timeline: Judging begins promptly at 10:00 AM this Saturday.
-
Prizes: Winners will receive ribbons and a plaque, which will be displayed throughout the remainder of the Expo.
Quick Tips for Competitors
Pro Tip: Before sealing your jar, use a flashlight to check for "debris" or air bubbles at the top. Judges often look for clarity and a clean fill line (right to the bottom of the threads) before they even take a taste!
Good luck—I hope you take home the Plaque
